Have you ever asked yourself when will things get better in my life? Will I always be this way?
These are common questions asked by many people who may feel as if they are not in control of their lives. I have worked in the mental health field for 29 years and have interacted with many individuals who ask themselves these very questions. My name is Greg and I am a licensed professional counselor and certified alcohol and drug counselor. I have assisted many people in taking back control of their live; increasing their ability to adapt / adjust to unexpected events, problematic thinking, and past experiences.
Through my own life experience and ongoing development of resilience, I have come to understand that we as human beings have much more power over our lives than we ever believed. I have found that through our thoughts, we create certain perceived realities about our existence. This can add additional suffering onto our already full plates and is not helpful,
necessary, or conducive to our wellbeing. Remember, we only truly believe what we tell ourselves.
I live in a rural area in Michigan where agriculture is the normal landscape. I enjoy spending time with and caring for those who are important to me, including family and friends. I enjoy caring for and spending time with animals. Connecting with nature and raising my children are priorities in my life. I have a strong desire and dedication to serve others in need through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and would like to assist you in creating the changes necessary to create health, happiness and wellbeing in your life. Most times, there are things we can build upon, things that are already present, that we can procure to create changes in our sense of satisfaction and acceptance of life.
